STEVEN S. RICHTER is the Founder and Principal of Steve Richter Law in San Diego, CA.  Mr. Richter graduated from Newport University School of Law and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1994.  He is also a Certified Public Accountant-Retired, and holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional designation. Since 1999, Mr. Richter has represented both individuals and corporations involved in e-commerce and internet law.  Mr. Richter was instrumental in the writing and passage of the Can Spam Act in 2003.  Much of his current work focuses on assisting companies with with FTC and State’s Attorney General investigations.  Mr. Richter has spoken at FTC and industry programs on internet law and compliance.
