MARIA VOTSCH serves as Counsel on the Consumer & Marketing Practices and Litigation teams at Sprint. Her primary responsibilities include providing day-to-day counseling on marketing and consumer protection issues; advising cross-functional teams on the development, evaluation and maintenance of substantiation for advertising claims; personally handling informal disputes between Sprint and its competitors; and managing formal advertising and related litigation. Ms. Votsch earned her law degree from the University of Virginia and her undergraduate degree from Williams College. Prior to joining Sprint in 2006, she was a litigator at two national law firms, most recently with Kaye Scholer in Washington, DC, and previously with Holland & Knight in Washington, DC. She enjoys speaking and writing on topics relating to her practice, and has contributed to the Association of Corporate Counsel’s In-house Access blog as well as the American Bar Association’s 2011 and 2013 Reviews of Consumer Protection Law Developments.
