LYNNE BEZIKOS is Senior Counsel at Philips Electronics North America Corporation in Stamford, CT.  Ms. Bezikos graduated from St. Lawrence University and Suffolk University Law School and is admitted to the New York State Bar.  Ms. Bezikos has been employed by Philips Electronics for more than 30 years and is responsible for the legal affairs of all Philips Consumer Lifestyle products sold in the U.S., including Philips Norelco shavers and groomers; Philips Sonicare oral care products; Philips Avent baby products; and Saeco espresso products.  Much of her work focuses on advertising and the adequacy of substantiation.  She has managed advertising disputes with the FTC, NAD and in Federal Court and has considerable experience in managing complex litigation, including Lanham Act cases and consumer class actions. Responsibilities have included management of the following cases: Coe v. Philips Oral Healthcare.  An alleged nationwide class action suit against Philips Oral Healthcare alleging that Philips’ line of Sonicare toothbrushes suffered from a defect that reduced their cleaning efficacy over time. The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington denied nationwide class certification in response to a preemptive motion by Philips. In re Philips Magnavox TV Litigation.  A purported consumer class action asserting a defect in Magnavox flat screen television sets. In Re Bisphenol–A (BPA) Litigation. Multiple alleged consumer class actions asserting violation of state consumer protection statutes and breaches of express and implied warranties arising out of Philips sale of polycarbonate Philips Avent baby feeding products.
