LYNNE BEZIKOS is Senior Counsel at Philips Electronics North America Corporation in Stamford, CT. An alleged nationwide class action suit against Philips Oral Healthcare alleging that Philips’ line of Sonicare toothbrushes suffered from a defect that reduced their cleaning efficacy over time. The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington denied nationwide class certification in response to a preemptive motion by Philips. In re Philips Magnavox TV Litigation. A purported consumer class action asserting a defect in Magnavox flat screen television sets. In Re Bisphenol–A (BPA) Litigation. Multiple alleged consumer class actions asserting violation of state consumer protection statutes and breaches of express and implied warranties arising out of Philips sale of polycarbonate Philips Avent baby feeding products.
