Judy Woodford leads the Global Technical Claims Group at Kao Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Dr. Woodford graduated, cum laude, from University of South Florida in 1986 and completed a Ph.D. in chemistry from The Ohio State University in 1991.  Dr. Woodford’s team is engaged throughout the claims development, support and defense process.  Their work includes collaboration to develop defensible consumer-compelling communications.  On the technical side, they design and implement technical studies tailored to meet the expectations of diverse external agencies.  Defense activities range from pre-market and pre-advertising clearance through regulatory and legal challenges.  Though primarily focused on the US and UK markets, the team supports and defends communications across the globe.  Dr. Woodford is an active member in the Society of Cosmetic Chemists and recently completed a term on the Executive Committee of the International Society for Biophysics and Imaging of the Skin.
