RONALD K. VASKE is a Partner in Lindquist & Vennum’s Financial Institutions practice group and co-chair of the firm’s Payment Systems and Consumer Financial Services practice. His experience in payment systems dates back more than 25 years, first as a manager for a financial institution’s national credit card business and, for the past 18 years, as an industry specialist in private law practice.  Ron advises banks and other financial services firms in compliance, regulatory supervision, third party relationships, business transactions,  litigation management and strategic planning matters. He works with clients in preparing for and responding to both compliance and safety and soundness examinations, including supervisory enforcement and appeals, as well as day-to-day compliance and business strategy.   Many of Ron’s clients serve the under-banked and subprime markets and they rely on his experience when developing innovative financial products and services for these consumers.  Because of the market they serve, his clients encounter uniquely challenging legal issues, particularly as they relate to unfair, deceptive and abusive acts and practices (UDAAP) under federal and state law.  Based in Minneapolis, Ron is a member of the bar in the states of Minnesota and South Dakota.
