FREDERICK E. CURRY, III is a Principal in the Forensic and Dispute Services practice of Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP (“Deloitte DTBA”).  Mr. Curry’s practice area covers forensic and advisory services related to dispute resolution, complex litigation support, and monitoring compliance with regulatory and criminal enforcement actions and settlements.  Mr. Curry specializes in financial crimes which include money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, public corruption, insider abuse and economic sanctions.  His work covers financial services, government, and gaming sectors. At Deloitte DTBA, Mr. Curry leads domestic and international engagements principally covering protecting a company’s brand and reputational risk when facing crisis regulatory or criminal enforcement actions. This work includes compliance program development, implementation, program monitoring, risk assessments, training and education for board of directors, senior management and employees, forensic investigations, compliance program remediation, examination planning, performance reviews, and independent testing. Prior to joining Deloitte DTBA, Mr. Curry was Senior Director of Anti-Money Laundering Services at the law firm Katten Mutchin Zavis & Rosenman. Previously, Mr. Curry was Examiner-in-Charge at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York where he planned, supervised, and conducted comprehensive safety and soundness and regulatory compliance examinations of domestic and international banks, which covered operational and internal controls, audit coverage, electronic data processing, information security, large currency transaction reporting, suspicious activity identification and reporting, electronic payment systems, security programs, insider abuse, and third party outsourcing arrangements. Mr. Curry has instructed federal and state examiners and investigators on conducting targeted financial crime and regulatory compliance reviews. He is also a frequent speaker in the U.S. and abroad on regulation and supervision of financial service institutions, governance, compliance with enforcement actions and settlement agreements, risk management, fraud, anti-money laundering, anti-corruption, combating terrorist financing and economic sanctions. Mr. Curry served in the United States Marine Corps.  He graduated from the American Institute of Banking with a certification in Bank Operations and Supervision.  He earned a BS Degree from Adelphi University, MBA Degree from Fordham University and a JD from Brooklyn Law School. Mr. Curry is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and currently serves on the U.S. Board of Transparency International and is a member of its Audit Committee.
